SARAH IS AN OIL PAINTER LIVING AND WORKING IN THE BAY AREA. 

 

Based in the Bay Area, CA, Sarah Sedgwick Anderson is an oil painter and instructor working across plein air landscapes and thematic figurative subject matter.   Sarah is also founder of Art & Creativity Lab; retreats and programs that introduce foundational art principles. 

 

Driven by a passion for light, composition and atmospheric depth, Sarah paints outdoors directly from life--capturing the evolving coastlines and hills of her home in California and light dappled terrain from her travels. 

 

In the studio this discovery of light and form translates to larger landscape commission pieces inspired by her plein air work.  She also creates custom figurative pieces where she seeks to communicate enduring visual narratives rooted in connection, story and heritage.
