SARAH IS AN OIL PAINTER LIVING AND WORKING IN THE BAY AREA. 

 

Based in the Bay Area, CA, Sarah Sedgwick Anderson is an oil painter alternating between subject matter of figures, florals and plein air landscape work.  Sarah is also co-founder of Art&Creativity Lab, an art retreat that introduces foundational art principles to true beginners. Retreat locations range from Carmel, CA to Tuscany, Italy. 

 

Sarah is drawn to painting light and contrast in the landscape subjects she chooses to paint—often from her travels—as well as in floral and botanical still life subject matter.  She creates a contemporary still life approach as she carefully arranges the seasonal vestiges of her garden in a top-looking-down view, mirroring the recent rise of food and botanical photographs viewed on Instagram and other modern media formats.
