One of the ways I spend my time as an artist is to plan ways to connect with other artists. There are so many reasons why this is important. So when my friend Julie Nelson suggested that I and the other "Moss and Fern Artists" should apply for a juried paint out in Washington State, I saw it for the incredible opportunity it was; both an opportunity to compete and show work in a great gallery (Cole Gallery, Edmonds, WA), and to experience more magic with this great group of artist friends.
So in true Rat Race fashion (if you catch that movie reference), we all flew in from different parts of the country and raced to the gallery to get our blank panels stamped and eligible to paint. We then had about 48 hours to find locations, paint, finish work, and get the work gallery ready with frames, tags, prices, etc. The work would be submitted and the gallery would choose whether your work would be accepted in the show at the end of the week. Turns out they accepted three of my pieces, which I am very happy about!
Click on the button to view the entire show at Cole Gallery. There is some incredible work in there, also available for purchase online at reasonable prices!
